The question we get asked all the time is, "How old must my child be so I can leave them at the pool alone?"
Here is the Minimum Age Requirements from the pool:
13.8. Minimum Age Requirements:
13.8.1 Keep children 10 years of age or younger under the direct supervision of an individual who is at least 18 years old.
13.8.2 Leave children ages 11-13 unattended only if they can demonstrate the ability to swim at least 12 meters.
These are the RAC Regulations, Kingfish have nothing to do with their regulations.
Parents of swimmers under the age of ten may share deck responsibility for up to 6 swimmers, BUT do not assume someone on deck will watch your child. It is very important to ensure the parent and your child understand they are buddied up.
We had several instances of swimmers running on deck. We also had several instances of swimmers and spectators eating on deck. Please ensure your swimmer understands that neither should be occurring. And set a good example for the kids by not eating on deck.
